Terms and Conditions
Definitions
- “Clinic” refers to SBC Sports Therapy and its staff.
- “Practitioner” refers to any licensed professional providing services at the Clinic, including Sports Therapists, Advanced Paramedics, and other medical professionals.
- “Client” refers to the individual receiving services.
- “Services” include sports therapy, manual therapy, acupuncture, injury rehabilitation, IV therapy, fitness assessment, and related clinical treatments.
- “Website” refers to any digital presence of SBC Sports Therapy, including social media channels.
Appointment Booking and Cancellations
- Appointments can be booked via phone, in person, or the Clinic’s online booking system.
- Clients are required to provide accurate personal and medical information at the time of booking.
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the session cost.
- Repeated missed appointments may result in refusal of future bookings.
Client Responsibilities
- Clients must provide a full and accurate medical history and inform the Practitioner of any conditions, medications, injuries, or contraindications.
- Clients should notify the Practitioner of any discomfort, pain, or adverse reactions during treatment.
- Clients are responsible for wearing appropriate clothing for therapy or exercise sessions.
- Clients under the influence of alcohol or drugs may have their session refused without refund.
Practitioner Responsibilities
- Practitioners will provide care in accordance with professional standards and clinical guidelines.
- Practitioners will respect client confidentiality in line with UK GDPR regulations and professional codes of conduct.
- Practitioners will assess clients before providing treatment and may refuse or modify services if deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
Treatment and Services
- All treatments are provided based on the information given by the client and the clinical assessment performed.
- Services may include, but are not limited to:
- Sports therapy and injury rehabilitation
- Manual therapy (massage, soft tissue release, joint mobilisations)
- Acupuncture
- IV vitamin therapy
- Exercise prescription and personal training guidance
- Fitness assessments and functional testing
- Results cannot be guaranteed, as outcomes depend on individual client response, adherence to advice, and pre-existing conditions.
Medical Disclaimer
- SBC Sports Therapy Clinic does not replace the advice of a medical doctor or other HCP.
- Treatments are provided to support rehabilitation, recovery, and performance, not to diagnose or treat medical conditions unless explicitly indicated and within the Practitioner’s scope of practice.
- In case of serious injury, illness, or emergency, clients should seek immediate medical attention from the NHS or other emergency services.
IV Therapy & Other Invasive Treatments
- IV vitamin therapy and other invasive treatments are administered by qualified practitioners only.
- Clients must disclose allergies, current medications, or medical conditions prior to treatment.
- Adverse reactions are rare but may occur; immediate medical care will be provided on-site if necessary.
- Refusal to provide full medical information may result in treatment being declined.
Payment Terms
- Payment is due at the time of booking or prior to treatment unless otherwise agreed.
- Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer, or approved online payment platforms.
- All fees are non-refundable except in cases where the Clinic cancels a session.
Liability
- SBC Sports Therapy and its staff will take all reasonable care to ensure safety during treatment.
- Clients attend sessions at their own risk, and the Clinic is not liable for pre-existing conditions, injuries sustained outside the Clinic, or adverse reactions to treatment, unless caused by negligence.
- Liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings is excluded.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
- Client information is collected, stored, and processed in compliance with UK GDPR and professional regulatory requirements.
- Information will only be shared with relevant health professionals if required for treatment or by law.
- Clients have the right to access, amend, or request deletion of their personal data.
Complaints
- Complaints should be submitted in writing to John Paul Murray at the Clinic’s contact details.
- The Clinic will respond to complaints within 14 working days.
- The Clinic will make every reasonable effort to resolve complaints fairly and efficiently.
Termination of Services
- The Clinic reserves the right to terminate treatment at any time if:
- The Client fails to follow advice or instructions.
- Behaviour is deemed inappropriate, abusive, or unsafe.
- Continuing treatment is deemed unsafe.
- Termination does not exempt the Client from payment for services already rendered.
Intellectual Property
- All materials, content, exercise programs, and educational resources provided by SBC Sports Therapy are the property of the Clinic.
- Unauthorized copying, distribution, or use for commercial purposes is prohibited.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland & United Kingdom.
Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Scottish and / or UK courts.
Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment or receiving services, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
